In 1999, Li Wah and I (John Talbot) quit our jobs and launched LCA – right in the middle of the Asian Financial Crisis. Everywhere we looked, we could see ways in which businesses could lift service levels and/or reduce their operating costs. (Nothing’s changed – there are probably more opportunities today than there were twenty years ago.)
Our stated goals were quite simple:

Our 'hands-on' approach worked
As a start-up, it was tough going for the first few years, but, step-by-step, we delivered successful projects and built our credibility with the market.
Our ‘hands-on’ approach clicked with the local CEOs of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, logistics service providers and (more recently) e-commerce players who all needed better supply chain capabilities to stay competitive. Our ability to stay with a project and deliver the solution we’ve designed has also been a key differentiator.
Twenty years on, we realised that we’d met all our initial goals. We still work together day in, day out. We have built a great (and friendly) team of supply chain professionals spread across Asia – who consistently deliver great results for our clients.
Started working with Savills
In 2018 we started working with Savills, a global property advisory and brokerage group. Collaborating on warehousing projects, both parties realised that there is a significant synergy in dovetailing supply chain and property skills.
These projects began to create huge value for our clients, opening a route to future proofed warehousing, operating at much lower cost while meeting ESG obligations.
