SUPPLY CHAIN EXECUTION

Some businesses need their supply chain reinvigorated - but just don't have the bandwidth to make it happen. Recruiting is an option, but there is no guarantee that sourcing, inducting and empowering new internal resources will deliver the desired results.

LCA addresses this problem through two distinct services:

Embedded Transformation Team
LCA has a very successful track record in driving supply chain transformation, allowing our clients to upgrade performance without taking on permanent resources to drive the change. To deliver transformation, LCA will embed a small team of skilled resources to manage development of the supply chain function (or specific sub-functions) over a contracted period. This team will work closely with the internal team, tapping into their critical in-house knowledge, but leaving them with the bandwidth to keep the day-to-day running smoothly. This 'close-contact' approach also facilitates internal ownership of the new ways of working - enhancing the results.

Best of all, much of the team's resource cost can be funded through the rolling benefits that they deliver.

This service evolved through experience working with clients:

  1. For whom logistics outsourcing is not a viable option
  2. Unable to secure the right resources to drive the necessary change

Project remuneration is through a:

  1. Moderate cost-plus fee for the assigned resources
  2. Gain-share based upon results delivered

Embedded Transformation Management Teams work because:

  1. The team works towards specific quantifiable goals, free of the in-house dynamics that can derail a project
  2. The team leader rotates resources to apply the right skills at the right time
  3. Gain-sharing maintains motivation while much of the funding can be found in operational savings achieved

Individual Interim Management
Sometimes all that is needed is a competent pair of hands.

But identifying and securing the right sort of resource at short notice can be a real challenge. (Good people are not usually sitting around, waiting for a call.)

LCA complements our in-house team with a close network of trusted associates who prefer to work on a temporary basis. Such interim managers relish being parachuted into businesses to see them through transition or crisis periods.

Seniority of these resources can range from Supply Chain Directors to Project Managers to Operations Managers.

LCA takes responsibility for assigning the right resource, who then reports directly into the client’s management structure.

Where requested, LCA can also provide QA oversight – to objectively monitoring progress, reducing the burden (and risk) for our clients.
